Torn on this look. The earring slash necklace look, we kinda like it but every time I look at one I am so tempted to pull it!!! Ouch!! Rihanna of course can get away with it. This unique piece of jewelry is designed by a woman named Dechel McKillion. You can get them on her website here or at 80’s Purple. If anyone remembers though, an 80’s singer once rocked a similar style and I think it is still big in the goth fashion houses I believe her name was Jane Child and she wore a earnose piece see pic below, that look worked for her definitely. Wonder if that was the inspiration for Ms. McKillion’s work.

Usually we want to throw out those bothersome pencil shavings but not these! Mmmmmm………Yummy! What an awesome idea and a fun dessert time. We love this concept and what a great way to end a dinner or lunch with a few pencil shavings! The concept of this treat is that with your dessert you can be offered  assorted flavors of chocolate pencils that vary in intensity along with the sharpener, grate the delicious shavings on your favorite treat (we’re thinking ice cream right about now!) The drawback to this is that this particular set is currently only available at very Posh dessert shops. Read More | Comments

mcqueenHigh fashion designer Alexander McQueen has taken his life at the age of 40. The news comes as a shock to many, since he has often been referred  to as one of this generations true fashion greats. A powerful designer with an ability to incorporate complex themes into his work, his latest collection drew attention from socials such as Daphne Guiness and Lady Gaga, who famously wore one of his elaborate designs in her Bad Romance video.  A spokeswoman announced on Thursday that McQueen was found dead at his London home.

“We don’t have any information in terms of circumstances,” said Samantha Garrett, McQueen’s communications director, though she revealed that the designer’s body was found at his central London flat on Thursday morning.

According to reports in British media, paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene, while police said the death was not being treated as suspicious.

Born Lee Alexander McQueen to a working class family living in social housing, the designer dropped out of school during his teens and landed an apprenticeship on London’s venerable Savile Row. During his years there, his clients included major figures such as Prince Charles and Mikhail Gorbachev.

He later returned to school, enrolling in the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design and graduating with a degree in fashion.

According to reports, the designer had also been depressed following the recent death of his mother, Joyce, and had posted a number of worrying messages on his Twitter account in the past few days.

Access Design Agency is hard at work creating ideas and concepts for some high profile brands. For McDonald’s, they envision a cool, surprising and fun mix of concepts. First is McFancy, an upmarket temporary McDonald’s store that launches at Fashion Weeks around the globe — London, New York, Paris, Milan, Sydney, Hong Kong. McFancy is part art installation, gathering spot and, of course, a restaurant that offers a traditional McDonald’s menu but packaged in a way that makes a playful yet stylish nod to the lifestyle of the highly desirable, influential consumers that attend Fashion Weeks.Waiters in tuxedos, silver service, private dining areas, and packaging co-created with the fashion brands that present at Fashion Week — Burberry burgers, Chanel fries on black packaging, Paul Smith Sundaes…A bit of fun among the serious business of fashion.
