I personally think Keri Hilson always has great accessories and great earrings 90% of the time. So what do we think about these? I actually think she gets away with it personally but that is my opinion. She was spotted at the Akoo fashion show for Mr. T.I. himself and his new clothing line coming out. She almost looked unrecognizable compared to signature short hairstyles. You decide. Read More | Comments

What a complete honor to have had the wonderful privilege of speaking to such an elegant, beautiful and sweet woman who was kind enough to grant us an interview without hesitation. I first spoke with Claudette Robinson back in March of 2010 by phone in regards to her life and some of the projects and events she had going on amongst other things and we have kept in-touch off and on ever since. What a great person with a great personality a big heart and great story to tell, she is the epitome of class, no wonder why she has a song dedicated to her (“My Girl”) co-written by ex-husband of 27 years, Smokey Robinson. Motown founder Berry Gordy gave Claudette Robinson the official title of the “First Lady of Motown”, as noted in his autobiography, because as a member of The Miracles, (Motown’s first group and first recording act) she was the first female artist ever signed to a Motown-affiliated record label (Tamla). Several years ago, Claudette began writing her autobiography, “A Miraculous Life,” a book of her memoirs and of her life with The Miracles. In March of 2009 Claudette and the original members of The Miracles were honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. I personally only asked Claudette a few brief questions so please take a moment to read our interview. Read More | Comments -

Torn on this look. The earring slash necklace look, we kinda like it but every time I look at one I am so tempted to pull it!!! Ouch!! Rihanna of course can get away with it. This unique piece of jewelry is designed by a woman named Dechel McKillion. You can get them on her website here or at 80′s Purple. If anyone remembers though, an 80′s singer once rocked a similar style and I think it is still big in the goth fashion houses I believe her name was Jane Child and she wore a earnose piece see pic below, that look worked for her definitely. Wonder if that was the inspiration for Ms. McKillion’s work.

Would you purchase this? No matter how great it smells, the packaging choice is so not appealing at all let alone the name of it. Konvict the new cologne & perfume by rapper/singer Akon. Maybe he should just stick to rapping/singing, not everyone can be a designer. However with all of that being said, some of the proceeds from the purchase of this interesting product will go to Akon’s Konfidence Foundation, dedicated to increasing public awareness of the conditions in Africa. -

High fashion designer Alexander McQueen has taken his life at the age of 40. The news comes as a shock to many, since he has often been referred to as one of this generations true fashion greats. A powerful designer with an ability to incorporate complex themes into his work, his latest collection drew attention from socials such as Daphne Guiness and Lady Gaga, who famously wore one of his elaborate designs in her Bad Romance video. A spokeswoman announced on Thursday that McQueen was found dead at his London home.“We don’t have any information in terms of circumstances,” said Samantha Garrett, McQueen’s communications director, though she revealed that the designer’s body was found at his central London flat on Thursday morning.
According to reports in British media, paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene, while police said the death was not being treated as suspicious.
Born Lee Alexander McQueen to a working class family living in social housing, the designer dropped out of school during his teens and landed an apprenticeship on London’s venerable Savile Row. During his years there, his clients included major figures such as Prince Charles and Mikhail Gorbachev.
He later returned to school, enrolling in the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design and graduating with a degree in fashion.
According to reports, the designer had also been depressed following the recent death of his mother, Joyce, and had posted a number of worrying messages on his Twitter account in the past few days.
