Claire Milner is the artistic genius behind the popular Marilyn Monroe 5ft x 5ft Swarovski crystal portrait. As you can see, the attention to detail in the portrait is practically flawless down to the strands of Marilyn’s hair! Poshology has been a fan of Claire’s since 2010 and we were very happy to get the chance to interview her and she was equally as delighted and as pleasant as always. This portrait was made of 65’000 dazzling Swarovski crystals and it weighs 182 pounds, the portrait was specially commissioned by the songstress Rihanna and since it’s completion, it has been the talk of numerous media outlets. Of course they do! We LOVE the Blonds and their amazing color and design styles. It’s never boring and they leave you salivating for more of “what’s next?” For 2012 it was their bike theme inspired by the film Tron and it definitely was working but beyond the fashion aside, I am completely enthralled by the fashion design duo David and Phillipe Blond, Not only for their striking physical appearance and presence but for their intense drive and innovation. Founded in 2008 The Blonds have been steadily rising to the top and beyond, styling some of the biggest celebrities in the game. From Beyonce, Lady GaGa, Rihanna, Kylie Minogue, Katy Perry, Fergie, Adam Lambert and Lil’ Kim just to name a few. This years fashion show brought out some of fashions bold & best. Take a look!

Rihanna looked stunning at the Brit Awards wearing a Givenchy Haute Couture gown by Riccardo Tisci, the gown made looked very chic and glamorous on Ri Ri.  The subtle and simple make-up looked radiant and she pulled everything together nicely down to her hair. Loving the look!!

Poshology pays tribute to songstress and actress Whitney Houston. The superstar passed away today at age 48 with causes unknown. Although it has been a rough road these past couple of years for Whitney, one can never forget her perfect angelic voice that brought her fame.

Whitney Houston has won two Emmy Awards, six Grammy Awards, 30 Billboard Music Awards, 22 American Music Awards during her record-breaking career. Her album “Whitney” was the first female album to ever debut at #1 on the Billboard Charts. She has sold 200 million albums around the world. At her peak, Whitney was the golden girl of the music industry. From the middle of the 1980s to the late 1990s, she was one of the world’s best-selling artists. She wowed audiences with effortless, powerful, vocals that were rooted in the black church but made palatable to a mass of people.

Houston was a gorgeous woman who influenced a generation of younger singers today. She will be remembered by us for the joy and excitement she brought people with her amazing voice and perfect poise and nothing less. Watch Tribute Video

Okay, we like Beyoncé and Jay Z but this may be just a little over the top. The one month old bundle of joy may be the most famous infant for the 2012 opening year and already she has a song about her, a unique name, her newly released and anticipated photos amongst other things, and it sounds like before long she will soon become a brand. The patent office currently denied several attempts from other parties wanting to trademark the name since the birth of Blue Ivy in January. The reason for denial was that the name belonged to a ‘very famous infant’.

Victoria Beckham is reaching a wider market with the launch of her collection for Net-a-Porter, an online store that sells upscale brands. The designer brand is dubbed timeless and elegant. Victoria has always had great style and good taste and it really shows in her line of clothing, not to mention the celebrities that are demanding her designs for the 2012 Oscars. A-list celebrities such as Cameron Diaz, Charlize Theron and Gwyneth Paltrow to name a few have been fond of the designers collections however the new mother of Harper Beckham has had to turn a lot of the celebs down due to high demand.
