Yes it sucks but it doesn’t have to be ruined. Here are some feel good tips for the lonely hearts.
1. Make it a girl’s day or night. Go out for shopping, lunch or dinner with your girlfriends, have some coffee and chit-chat. Valentine’s Day doesn’t only have to be about couples.
2. Forget the day. Don’t look at the calendar after all, Valentine’s Day is just like any other day.
3. Hang out with family or babysit a family members little ones and make valentine cookies, cupcakes or chocolates.
4. Have a party at your house! Invite your girls over for food, movies, music and dancing and have them bring a single guy friend. Break out the karaoke machine too and make it a Valentines theme party.
5. Pig out. Go get your favorite snacks. Let yourself have all the things you usually feel guilty consuming, and this time, don’t feel the least bit guilty. Ice cream, Ice cream and more ice cream and of course movies or of course lifetime movies!
6. Remember that being single is fabulous you have a endless opportunity to pick the guy of your choice eventually and not settle for less.
7.Since you aren’t spending money on a guy, spend it on yourself. Treat yourself to a manicure, pedicure, or both and splurge on something from Victoria Secrets or a new perfume just for you and purchase some new spring makeup colors from a fun store like Sephora!
8. Read some, hardcover and online fashion magazines and strategize for your spring wardrobe. It’s only a few month’s away!
9. Eat chocolate. It has been known to cheer women up, which is why so many of them turn to it during times of turmoil. Indulge in a box of truffles or a yummy candy bar. My personal favorites are Turtles and Almond Joy Bars.
