Poshology pays tribute to songstress and actress Whitney Houston. The superstar passed away today at age 48 with causes unknown. Although it has been a rough road these past couple of years for Whitney, one can never forget her perfect angelic voice that brought her fame.

Whitney Houston has won two Emmy Awards, six Grammy Awards, 30 Billboard Music Awards, 22 American Music Awards during her record-breaking career. Her album “Whitney” was the first female album to ever debut at #1 on the Billboard Charts. She has sold 200 million albums around the world. At her peak, Whitney was the golden girl of the music industry. From the middle of the 1980s to the late 1990s, she was one of the world’s best-selling artists. She wowed audiences with effortless, powerful, vocals that were rooted in the black church but made palatable to a mass of people.

Houston was a gorgeous woman who influenced a generation of younger singers today. She will be remembered by us for the joy and excitement she brought people with her amazing voice and perfect poise and nothing less. Watch Tribute Video
