Notice I said almost… I recently purchased this little lux item at Victoria’s Secret. It is a very sheer luminous cheek and face highlighter, the color I have is called showtime but it comes in 3 other colors as well. It’s very silky to apply but if you do not moisturize your face properly and then apply it, it comes off looking chalky, and if you have darker skin, ASHY to a certain degree. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not bad, especially at the $14.00 price point but if you want an even smoother lightweight feel and glowing results, I still say NARS cheek stick is probably the way to go.

Happened upon these beauties by Jimmy Choo that seemed like they could really go with anything. In all its blingy best, and at a mere $2’100 they can be yours. The mesh and crystal studded shoe comes in two colors, Anthracite and Ivory and measures up at 4.3 inches. jimmychoo.com

We thought this was a perfect posh experience so I decided to write about it. Over the weekend I went to South Norwalk otherwise known as Sono, known for it’s mixture of classy and tasteful restaurants, shops & nightlife then combine that with art galleries and museums and you have an eclectic mix of entertainment. While there I went to a wonderful dinner with some friends. The place we went to was called Barcelona Restaurant & Wine Bar, which, is an award winning Spanish tapas restaurant, located throughout Connecticut and the greater New York region. However you would think that by visiting a restaurant and writing about it that I would be mainly speaking of their food right? Well this write-up is not completely about their food but about their phenomenal customer service and their Executive Chef Jodi Bernhard that demonstrated just that. I’ll try and make it brief but for myself as an ex-Nordstrom employee I value excellent customer service and I think so many customers when they receive it sometimes take it for granted and for businesses this is one art they should learn how to master. What a complete honor to have had the wonderful privilege of speaking to such an elegant, beautiful and sweet woman who was kind enough to grant us an interview without hesitation. I first spoke with Claudette Robinson back in March of 2010 by phone in regards to her life and some of the projects and events she had going on amongst other things and we have kept in-touch off and on ever since. What a great person with a great personality a big heart and great story to tell, she is the epitome of class, no wonder why she has a song dedicated to her (“My Girl”) co-written by ex-husband of 27 years, Smokey Robinson. Motown founder Berry Gordy gave Claudette Robinson the official title of the “First Lady of Motown”, as noted in his autobiography, because as a member of The Miracles, (Motown’s first group and first recording act) she was the first female artist ever signed to a Motown-affiliated record label (Tamla). Several years ago, Claudette began writing her autobiography, “A Miraculous Life,” a book of her memoirs and of her life with The Miracles. In March of 2009 Claudette and  the original members of The Miracles were honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. I personally only asked Claudette a few brief questions so please take a moment to read our interview. Read More

We decided to do something a little different with this article and introduce you to one of Boston, Massachusetts top modeling/talent agencies, Model Club Inc. we sometimes get people asking us about the modeling and acting industry and we like to have all of the answers but unfortunately we don’t, however we will always do our best to find them for you (like we did with Model Rebecca Leigh-West and her Interview) and so we did it again and caught up to Andrew P. Wilson, Manager of the New Faces Division for Model Club, Inc. We asked him some questions about the industry and he took time out of his busy schedule to oblige. Having met Andrew before, he is a very nice and very upbeat person so I knew he would be fourth coming with the things we asked. Take a moment to read the very informative interview and after that check out their website, blog, facebook and twitter page! Read More

While at one of my girlfriend’s surprise baby showers yesterday I got the chance to try one of the famous Georgetown Cupcakes from their Maryland store.  The cupcakes were given to all the shower guests as favors and they are also my friend Yvette’s favorite sweet treat. There were a variety of flavors from Lemon, Red Velvet, Pumpkin Spice and Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip. I had Red Velvet and it was delicious to say the least! I am not a big fan of frosting or icing but OMG!!!!! I couldn’t stop savoring the flavor it was amazing. Even the fondant little ducky on top was de-lish!!! It came in Georgetown Cupcakes signature pink box and a delicate blue satin bow. What a great favor idea….. and my girlfriend Yvette looked amazing pregnant but she always looks good anytime. Special Thanks  to Marlise And Phylis for the unique treat.

Isn’t she lovely? What beautiful skin she has! Yes Skin… a seamless outer skin made of a polyurethane-coated Lycra water-resistant fabric. This soft skin allows the GINA Light — GINA is an acronym, sort of, for Geometry and Functions In “N” Adaptions — to be more flexible. With a soft skin you can change the shape and color of the car so, for example, you can make the car more aerodynamic, make it go at higher speeds as well….bye bye dings and scratches! I have to say every time I go into a Forever 21 store I feel like I am out hunting….. literally it is a process for me, if I know I am going to go there, I will dress comfortably in my “Hunting Gear” so I can find and try on all sorts of cute, sexy, comfy styles. It is thrilling to go hunting in a Forever 21 store. Forever 21 by far is also the place to be during a recession wouldn’t you agree, for women and men alike! Where else can you get quality denim jeans for $9.50?? When you find out, let us know. Not to mention the great decor, open space and atmosphere in some of the stores. I will always love forever 21 as long as they stay true to the trend and their remarkable prices. The other great addition to Forever 21 is there accessory store Love 21!!!! OMG! The greatest accessories ever for a great price. Even their shoes are hot! This store is a true gem and the genius founders should change the name from Forever 21 to Forever Ageless because any age group can find something to suit them in this forever trending place that can be mixed and matched and made age appropriate for anyone!  Fun Fact: Did you know that Forever 21 was founded by Don & Jin Chang who opened their first store in 1984 on Figueroa Street in Los Angeles, they referenced a number they felt was lucky and thought of it as an age of growing up and hence the name “Forever 21″ was born and the store still a major success today.

Torn on this look. The earring slash necklace look, we kinda like it but every time I look at one I am so tempted to pull it!!! Ouch!! Rihanna of course can get away with it. This unique piece of jewelry is designed by a woman named Dechel McKillion. You can get them on her website here or at 80′s Purple. If anyone remembers though, an 80′s singer once rocked a similar style and I think it is still big in the goth fashion houses I believe her name was Jane Child and she wore a earnose piece see pic below, that look worked for her definitely. Wonder if that was the inspiration for Ms. McKillion’s work.
